AMarkets adds a new group of trading instruments - ETF CFDs

AMarkets is constantly evolving and always eager to improve its trading conditions. Today, we are pleased to announce the addition of a new group of trading instruments – ETF CFDs. ETF trading will be available on all account types.

What is ETF?

An exchange-traded fund (ETF) is a type of security that tracks an index, sector, commodity, or another asset, but which can be purchased or sold on a stock exchange. ETF is a highly liquid trading instrument suitable for both novice and experienced traders. Today, the ETF market is actively developing: for example, at the beginning of 2021, ETFs already account for more than 20% of the total trading volume, and this figure keeps growing.

By buying one ETF share, an investor buys shares of all companies that are included in this fund. For example, a Stock ETF holds stocks, while a Bond ETF holds bonds. Funds are often made up of stocks from one industry or one country. For example, there are Technology ETFs that invest in stocks of companies involved in the technology industry and there are China equities ETFs i.e funds that invest in China-based corporations.

What are the advantages of ETF trading?

• Reliability. ETFs are one of the most secure instruments in terms of risk diversification: even if the underlying stock of some company declines, the fund won’t show a noticeable decline.
• Transparency of the basket. You can view which securities you’re investing in at any time.
• Well-balanced portfolio. You don’t need to choose stocks for investment yourself – the fund’s analysts have compiled the portfolio for you.
• Access to international markets. By buying an ETF, an investor gains access to international markets using even a standard brokerage account.
• Additional income from dividends. You can always count on a dividend payment if the share is part of the acquired fund.
