Moscow Stock Exchange launches perpetual futures on US S&P500 and NASDAQ index funds

The launch of perpetual futures on the US S&P500 and NASDAQ index funds will expand the possibilities of arbitration for the Russian investor.
Trading in new instruments will start on August 4. Their parameters:
- Calculation base for the SP500F (S&P500) contract: fixing of the Moscow Exchange SPY ETF (code: FIXSPY);
- For QQQF (NASDAQ) – fixing of the Moscow Exchange QQQ ETF (code: FIXQQQ);
- The minimum price step for both futures is $0.1;
- Warranty – about 7 thousand rubles (preliminary estimate); Prices are linked to the underlying asset through funding, similar to other perpetual contracts.
The key issue for arbitrage here is how narrow the spread will be inside the Russian cup: much will depend on the market makers. If they narrow the spread, arbitrage and turnover will be good. But it is unlikely that this will happen quickly.
